Lio Piccolo has been the focus of new archaeological investigations. An extraordinary exhibition will open on September, 21st. New underwater archaeological investigations were carried out in July by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The team, led by Professor Carlo Beltrame, with the collaboration of Dr Elisa Costa, returned to explore the submerged site along the Rigà canal, where in 2021 an oyster tank dating back to the 1st century AD was discovered, probably part of a Roman villa. The structure, located more than three metres below the current sea level, has already yielded valuable clues about the past: hundreds of…
A competitive race to admire the colours of autumn Some will take advantage of the opportunity to go for a run, others will walk, and others will take lots of photos. However, everyone will be united by a single goal: to admire the colours of the territory, with the excuse of a race. This is the “Lagoon Run”, an event organised by Asd Litorale Runner, in collaboration with various local organisations, for Sunday 2nd of November. Registrations are already open at various points throughout Cavallino-Treporti (with a maximum of 700 participants). The non-competitive 11-kilometre race will start at 10 a.m.…
Via del Respiro is completed: a unique route in Europe overlooking the lagoon. “Via del Respiro” is the name of the bicycle path built along Via Pordelio, largely suspended over the water thanks to a steel structure on which a lane of massandaruba wood has been laid. Massandaruba is a tree native to Central and South America, reddish in colour and suitable for marine environments. The work was completed at the end of July and the path will be fully accessible in the coming months. Built on a suspended structure for 6.5 of its total 8.5 kilometres, the path overlooks…
A festival linked to local traditions, with the flavours of the region’s food and wine. This is the basis for the famous Tempeston festival, scheduled for Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of September, in the churchyard of Santa Maria Elisabetta, in Cavallino. The name of the festival derives from the storm (tempesta in Italian) that, over the years, marked the approach of the end of summer: for this reason, this convivial event, entirely linked to local traditions, is held before autumn. The festival is organised by the Contrada di Cavallino in collaboration with the Pro Loco. The stands will be…

We spend our daily lives surrounded by a huge number of stimuli and are often almost incapable of paying attention to our internal signals. What can yoga offer modern people with a hectic lifestyle? The effects of yoga on physical health are indisputable, but it is important to understand that, for the harmonious functioning of body, mind and spirit and for achieving true balance, it is not enough to pay attention only to the physical dimension. Relaxation, mental techniques and meditation are just as important as stretching, warming up and strength positions. Since the stimuli we receive cannot be turned…
The Councillor for Tourism, Alessandro Ballarin What is the added value of Cavallino-Treporti that makes its brand so strong? “Cavallino-Treporti is a blue and green location, with a strong environmental vocation that stems from a specific political choice: to enhance green areas, maintain a low skyline and protect the open air. These elements not only represent an identity resource, but also outline a clear vision for the future of the area. The environmental focus is also recognised from a tourism perspective, thanks to a model of widespread accommodation immersed in nature, such as the open-air experience.” The cantilevered bicycle path…
