From the 21st to 23rd of August, Piazza SS. Trinità in Treporti will once again be transformed into a stage for the region’s traditional music, with the fifth edition of the Venetian Song Festival, organised by the L@ Rete APS association and sponsored by the municipality of Cavallino-Treporti. The festival will open on Friday, the 21st of August with a performance by one of the most original and popular groups on the Venetian music scene: Freve Da Samba. On Saturday, the 22nd of August, ‘Semplicemente Lina’ will return to the stage – a tribute dedicated to the great Venetian singer Lina Chiusso. The festival will draw to a close on Sunday, the 23rd of August with “Tributo a Venezia”. The star of the show will be Monica Giori, accompanied by numerous Venetian artists, in a performance paying special tribute to Luisa Ronchini, a singer who left a significant mark on the history of Venetian song. Admission to all events is free, with performances starting at 9.00 pm.
