Regata delle Origini
On Sunday, the 26th of July, at 5.30 pm, the Pordelio canal will host the 24th “Regata delle Origini”, a men’s competition on two-oared mascarete (traditional lagoon boats). The race, which can be viewed from the panoramic square in Cavallino, celebrates the tradition of Venetian rowing and renews the ancient bond between the community and the water, keeping alive a heritage of movements, technique and culture that is integral to the area’s identity.
Regata del Tempeston
On Saturday, the 22nd of August, at 6 pm, the Regata del Tempeston returns to the Pordelio circuit in Cavallino. The name evokes the traditional ‘tempesta’ (storm) that heralded the end of summer and which, according to custom, preceded this festival. An event that showcases Venetian rowing and reinforces the deep connection between the region, its history and the water.
