Different colours, different atmospheres, different ways of experiencing the local area, all enveloped in the special atmosphere of Christmas. Whilst we are still enjoying the warmth of summer, as we move towards the changing colours and scents that allow us to admire the local area in its splendid transformation, the wheels of the organisation machinery leading up to the Christmas events are already turning. The programme will be all about tradition and togetherness. The switching on of the town’s Christmas trees, in early December, will kick off the celebrations taking place across the area. Among the various events, Francesco Orazio’s ‘Lagoon Nativity’ returns, featuring over four hundred statues made of marine-grade plywood set up in the Pordelio Canal, between Ca’ Ballarin and Ca’ Savio, and visible from the suspended cycle path on Via Pordelio. A fascinating initiative that creates a truly unique atmosphere. ‘Lagoon Nativity’ It is an initiative of the Municipality of Cavallino-Treporti and represents the heart of the “L’Arte del Presepe” project. At the Urban Park, ‘Il Paese del Natale’ will take centre stage, featuring markets, shows, workshops and the New Year’s Eve party for families, followed by a concert.
