The project involved the construction of a new road including a bicycle and pedestrian path to the beach, integrated with the redevelopment of the promenade, the hydraulic upgrading of the existing canal to ensure the area’s hydraulic safety, and a comprehensive landscape mitigation programme. The project represents a strategic piece of infrastructure to improve safety, accessibility and the urban quality of the access to the beach and of the whole hamlet of Ca’ di Valle.
Compared with the previous infrastructure, a more extensive and structured planting scheme has also been implemented to enhance the landscape of the entrance to the beach. “This project will upgrade the road network and access points to the sea.” said Mayor Roberta Nesto, “We aim to reorganise the area, improve the landscape and enhance safety and services for those who live in and visit our area every day.” The new access to the sea required an investment of 630,000 euros.
