Food and wine and traditions. These are the elements of the famous Tempeston festival, scheduled for Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September in the churchyard of Santa Maria Elisabetta in Cavallino. The name derives from the storm that, in the past, anticipated the end of summer: this is why, before autumn, this convivial event is traditionally staged, entirely linked to local traditions.
The organisation is by the Pro Loco and the Contrada of Cavallino. In fact, this is the perfect opportunity to immerse oneself in local traditions and savour local specialities, both meat and fish, but also to be enveloped in the special atmosphere created by local traditions that belong to the history of the area. Stands open at 7 p.m.
