A cultural event surrounded by nature and celebrating traditions The Jujube Festival returns to the village of Lio Piccolo, the event organised since 2005 by the Borgo di Lio Piccolo association to celebrate the jujube, known to many as zizzola. The aim of this event, scheduled for Sunday 17 September, is to promote the jujube cultivation and plants still found in the village.
More generally, the event provides an opportunity to get to know and promote the gardens and typical fruits that used to be cultivated in the Cavallino-Treporti area, particularly in these areas of Lio Piccolo and Mesole, among which the jujube has become the symbol of this festival. The programme includes the opening of the market exhibition of local food products at 10 am, followed by the opening of the food stand and musical entertainment.
