The event that brings the extraordinary atmosphere of timeless music to Cavallino-Treporti returns, this year dedicated to the great Pino Daniele.
Seven evenings dedicated to international jazz, featuring contemporary sounds, tributes to great Italian artists and outstanding big bands. This is the “Litorale Jazz Festival”, the music festival organised by the “La Rete” association, which will animate Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II in Ca’ Savio from 20th to 26th July, with concerts every evening starting at 9 pm and free admission.
The aim of the event is to celebrate jazz music in all its forms, offering the coastal community a week of high-quality concerts in one of the most popular squares of the Cavallino-Treporti summer.
The festival opens on Monday 20th July with “What it Became” by the Sextet Quartet, a group led by tenor saxophonist Lorenzo Cucco alongside Costantino Angelilli on guitar, Christian Guidolin on double bass and Gabriele Da Ros on drums.
On Tuesday 21st, it’s swing time with CT-Bandland and the show “Lo swing proibito”, while Wednesday 22nd is dedicated to Italian Jazz Night with the “Crystal Note Quartet” and vocals by Patty Scanferla.
The most eagerly awaited moment of the festival is Thursday 23rd July with “Il cielo è pieno di stelle”, a musical tribute to Pino Daniele. The performance features two outstanding musicians: Fabrizio Bosso, one of the leading contemporary Italian jazz trumpeters, and Julian Oliver Mazzariello on piano. A concert blending jazz, melody and Mediterranean sounds in memory of the great Neapolitan singer-songwriter.
The final three evenings are: 24th July with “Jazz Legacy Night”, 25th July with the “Pordenone Big Band”, and 26th July with the “Alberto Visentin Band”.
