Tourism Ambassadors 2026: Across Generations
The ‘Tourism Ambassadors’ celebration returns, with a special tribute to those, whose loyalty contributes to the promotion and reputation of Cavallino-Treporti. The award, established in 2016 on the initiative of the local council, is aimed at visitors.
Roberta Nesto, newly re-elected mayor: how did this initiative come about?
“It stemmed from a simple yet profound idea: to honour those who, year after year, continue to choose Cavallino-Treporti for their holidays. Being the leading seaside resort in the Veneto region means offering services, quality and beauty, but above all, forging a genuine bond with people. A destination does not thrive solely on its landscapes: it thrives on memories, emotions and that rare feeling of being part of a community.”
Who are the Tourism Ambassadors?
‘They are the most authentic testament to our identity. Over 110 families have been entered into the official register dedicated to them, and their names are also inscribed on plaques displayed in the Town Hall, representing the international dimension of our town. They are guests who have been returning for decades, bringing their children, grandchildren and friends with them, turning a holiday into a family tradition.’
What is the value of this project for the future of the area?
“The Tourism Ambassadors are the best story Cavallino-Treporti can tell about itself. Through their experience, their enthusiasm and word of mouth, they become the most credible promoters of our destination. Their loyalty strengthens our identity, highlights the work of an entire community and confirms the quality of the hospitality offered every day by local businesses, associations and residents. Each Ambassador acts as a bridge between our area and the world, helping to raise awareness of, promote and foster a love for Cavallino-Treporti, generation after generation.”
