A festival linked to local traditions, with the flavours of the region’s food and wine. This is the basis for the famous Tempeston festival, scheduled for Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of September, in the churchyard of Santa Maria Elisabetta, in Cavallino. The name of the festival derives from the storm (tempesta in Italian) that, over the years, marked the approach of the end of summer: for this reason, this convivial event, entirely linked to local traditions, is held before autumn. The festival is organised by the Contrada di Cavallino in collaboration with the Pro Loco. The stands will be open from 7 p.m., offering traditional meat and fish dishes. As usual, on Sunday 24 August, the event will be preceded by the Regata del Tempeston (starting at 6 p.m.), with a race circuit traced in the Pordelio canal, organised by the Remiera Cavallino rowing club.
