An important awareness-raising event held right on the beach.
On Saturday 25th of July at 4.30 pm, on the beach in front of the Campeggio Mediterraneo in Ca’ Vio, ‘Bandiera Blu al Mare in Sicurezza’ will take place – an initiative promoted by the local council and organised by Turismo Srl Wela to mark World Drowning Prevention Day. The event celebrates the prestigious Blue Flag award, granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education to coastal resorts that stand out for the quality of their waters, facilities, environmental management and safety. The day will be dedicated to raising awareness of the correct behaviour to adopt at sea, with guidance on the main risks to avoid and practical demonstrations to promote a responsible and safe enjoyment of the coastline. Organising such an initiative, with a packed programme and a significant deployment of resources, will enable people to understand even better and more fully the importance of following the rules and, where necessary, how to behave in certain situations.
