Appointments with tradition and folklore. On the night of 9th and 10th August, from 7 p.m., Piazza Ss. Trinità in Treporti will host the Sagra di Santa Filomena: good food, live music, and merriment will enliven the evenings in a festive atmosphere. From the 15th to the 17th of August, in Ca’ Vio, the Sagra del Sacro Cuore returns, a local fest organised by the parish group, which combines good food and conviviality, with food stands open from 7 p.m. On the 7th and 8th of September, on the other hand, it will be the turn of the Sagra del Tempeston, in the churchyard of Santa Maria Elisabetta in Cavallino: typical meat and fish dishes to celebrate traditions before the autumn. The name of the festival derives from the “storm” (tempesta in Italian) that in the past anticipated the end of summer: this is why, before the autumn, this convivial event is traditionally staged, entirely linked to local traditions. Finally, on Sunday 21st of September, Lio Piccolo will host the Giuggiola Festival, a tribute to the symbolic fruit of the lagoon village.
