This significant accolade once again places Cavallino-Treporti at the forefront nationally.
Cavallino-Treporti is officially the first seaside destination in the Mediterranean basin to have obtained the international GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification, a recognition that attests to full compliance with all 38 criteria and 174 indicators set out in the global sustainability standards linked to the UN 2030 Agenda.
Inspectors from Vireo Srl, a certification body supported by Hospitality Team, conducted a year-long analysis based on merit and impartiality, covering: sustainable management, socio-economic sustainability, cultural sustainability and environmental sustainability. The process involved institutions, businesses, associations and citizens.
This achievement is part of a journey that, over the years, has led to numerous accolades for Cavallino-Treporti: UNESCO site, Blue Flag, Green Flag, Yellow Flag and EMAS registration for environmental management.
