The International Guitar Festival Due Città, now in its twentyfourth edition, kicks off once again in Cavallino-Treporti. The event takes place on the 19th and on the 26th of September.
Under the artistic direction of Maestro Andrea Vettoretti, the Festival continues to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation, exploring new artistic avenues and engaging the audience in unique experiences. This year’s theme, ‘New Classical World’, represents an ongoing evolution: a dialogue between the past and the present, between the elegance of classical music and the energy of folk traditions from around the world. Each concert will be an invitation to discover new and unexpected emotions, in a setting that celebrates the beauty of music and culture.

The duo comprising Matteo Salerno and Andrea Candeli presents an original and captivating project that bridges the gap between classical music and the poprock repertoire, from the 1970s to the present day. Through bespoke arrangements, the flute and guitar reinterpret iconic pieces of contemporary music, highlighting their lyrical, melodic and emotional elements, and revealing the invisible thread that links this repertoire to the classical tradition.

5.00 pm LIO PICCOLO • QUARTETTO FANCELLI -DESPUES DE TANGO
The Fancelli Quartet will be performing with ‘Despues de Tango’. Through an original and refined line-up, the quartet explores the world of tango, South American music and contemporary composition, transforming each piece into an intense, cinematic musical narrative. A concert of great emotional power, capable of combining rigour, passion and an immediate connection with the audience.
