A non-competitive run to admire the beauty of our local area
The Lagoon Run is a picturesque, noncompetitive run and walk of around 11 kilometres that takes place in the heart of the Northern Lagoon, starting from Piazzale di Saccagnana in Treporti and finishing in the stunning setting of Lio Piccolo. The event is organised by ASD Litorale Runner, in collaboration with various local organisations, and will take place on Sunday 1st of November. The route alternates between tarmac and dirt tracks, passing along embankments and through fishing valleys that are normally inaccessible. This alone is enough to show how this sporting event gives participants the chance to admire the landscape, bathed in autumn colours, whilst always showing the great respect due to this environment, which is so fascinating yet so fragile. This is also why there is a limit on the number of participants. The meetup is from 8.00 am, so that any further registrations can be accepted. Although the event is non-competitive, prizes will be awarded to the largest groups and the top three finishers.
