The second edition of the Organ Festival will start on Saturday 31st of May, in the church of Santa Maria Elisabetta in Cavallino, with the musician Marco De Bortoli: eight appointments under the artistic direction of Maestro Roberto Bertuzzi, organised with the collaboration of the Turia Battistella association. New this year is the involvement of the church in Cavallino, where three concerts will be held. The other dates will be held in the Santissima Trinità Church in Treporti. In both cases, performances will be on the great Bazzani organ, with young organists of international renown.
The second appointment will be on Saturday 10th of June, at 9 pm, in the church of Treporti, with organist Lukas Hasler.
THE BAZZANI ORGAN
Built in 1890, after decades of disuse it has been completely recovered thanks to an ambitious restoration project that lasted seven years, promoted by the parish priest Don Alessandro Panzanato and supported by the Italian Episcopal Conference (Cei). Restored to its splendour, those 19th-century voices that were in danger of disappearing forever have been recovered.
