Cavallino-Treporti, first beach in Italy with almost 6.8 million visitors in 2024. How is such a result achieved?
‘With constant, collective work and a clear vision: to offer conscious and sustainable tourism. Cavallino-Treporti is chosen by our guests for the beauty of its landscape, safety, quality services and hospitality. And we are a community that cherishes memory, culture and traditions; at the same time, we know how to innovate and offer new experiences. We all continue to invest, public and private. As a municipality we aim to create new sustainable mobility routes, such as the longest cantilevered bicycle path in Europe overlooking the lagoon in Via Pordelio’.

What are the challenges for the near future?
‘The first is to continue growing without forgetting and neglecting the natural, environmental and historical vocation of our territory. We want to better ourselves while keeping alive the link between identity, history and development. We work to leave our young people a place where they can build their future, a land that continues to be liveable and welcoming. Environmental and social sustainability is a priority’.
What makes you most proud?
‘The community. Since 1999, when we became an autonomous municipality, we have done so much. But nothing would have been possible without the strength of the associations, the collaboration with local activities, the active participation of citizens, the vision of our entrepreneurs. Cavallino-Treporti is a great community. And this is the message we also want to convey to our guests: here, they do not just find a beautiful place, but people to get to know. A community that believes in what it does, that works every day to improve and does not forget where it came from’.
