The Tempeston Regatta
And one of the most eagerly awaited regattas of the season, the one on Sunday 27 August, celebrates the link with the world of rowing and with the water. This is the Regatta of the Tempeston, an event traditionally held at the end of August and now in its 20th year. The race course is the Pordelio Canal. The programme includes the challenge on typical lagoon boats) and the cona fondo race. Start of the races at 6 p.m., organised by the Cavallino rowing club
The regatta on Mascarete
The Mascarete regatta will be held on Monday 25 September at 4 pm on the race course set up in Cavallino, in the Pordelio canal, organised by the Canottieri Treporti Association. Mascarete are typical lagoon boats that, up to 60 years ago, were used by local farmers to row across the lagoon to the market in Venice.
