Three concerts on the ancient Bazzani organ of the Ss. Trinità church in Treporti. These are the appointments of the Organ Festival of Cavallino-Treporti, to be held on Tuesday 20th of August, with organist Paola Talamini; Tuesday 10th of September with Roberto Bertuzzi and Sunday 29th of September with organist Marco De Bortoli. The concerts start at 9 p.m., with free admission.
The Bazzani organ
Built in 1890, after decades of disuse, the Bazzani organ in Treporti has been completely recovered thanks to an ambitious restoration project that lasted seven years, promoted by parish priest Don Alessandro Panzanato and supported by the Italian Episcopal Conference (Cei). Restored to its splendour, those 19th-century voices that were in danger of disappearing forever have been recovered. The organ was missing three-quarters of the original sound box, riser, sides and ceiling, the back and fixed to the wall around the rose window. Carefully dismantled, it was transported to a workshop in Castelraimondo in Macerata for restoration.
