It is considered the most historic and also the best known in the panorama of orchestras. Certainly the one that marked a good chunk of all of our lives, making thousands of people dance. And it doesn’t matter if, in their best-known song, it sings to “Romagna mia”: for all those who sing and dance to it, it is like a hymn to summer, spent on every beach in our beautiful Italy. It is the Casadei Orchestra that will also stop in our city on its summer tour. The concert will be held in Piazza Santa Maria Elisabetta, in the hamlet of Cavallino, therefore at the gates of the locality, on Friday 7 July, at 21, with the coordination of the Pro Loco.
Founded in 1928, it is the most famous and long-lived dance orchestra in Italy, the most popular in the Italian dance sector and famous in the world for its musical genre called ballroom dancing. Known for having spread the music and culture of Romagna internationally in recent years, it has taken on a new pop-folk line: an energetic wind section has been added to the orchestra, the accordion becomes rhythmic, Mediterranean guitars join the Hawaiian ones and the choirs approach the warm atmosphere of beach parties. All with a genre that always finds the roots of folk approaching pop music. In the repertoire, the inevitable waltz “Romagna Mia” will be danced in the square under the stars for one evening, celebrating summer with those who, with their orchestra, have made it unique and unforgettable.
