A new exhibition in Lio Piccolo showcasing the local area.
Once again, the exhibition hall in the village of Lio Piccolo provides the perfect setting for an exhibition dedicated to this extraordinary stretch of land, entitled “La laguna racconta. Sinfonie cromatiche” (The Lagoon Tells Its Story: Chromatic Symphonies), curated by Fulvio Galletta.
“I consider myself a man of the lagoon,” says the artist, “because of how I have always experienced it. It is a place where time seems to stand still.”
In his works, Galletta depicts vegetable gardens, salt marshes, fishermen, stones marked by salt, boats abandoned among the Limonium, seagulls and sunsets over the Venetian lagoon. Emotions and memories take shape through various techniques: oil on canvas, watercolour, coloured ballpoint pens, and animated videos created by hand and with a graphics tablet.
The exhibition is curated by historian and museologist Giotis Sarantidis.
The exhibition is open until September, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.
