It is one of the most eagerly awaited events and one most linked to the tradition of this area. As always, it takes place on the third Sunday of July, on the occasion of the Redentore. The famous Sagra Dea Sucheta of Saccagnana, whose name is linked to a “bittersweet” fruit, the now very rare yellow plum, which ripens precisely in this period and which is characteristic of this area.
The festival is organized as always in Saccagnana, a stone’s throw from the lagoon, with the setting up of the stands directly in Piazza del Prà. Naturally with dishes linked to the territory and local tradition. The event is organized by the Piazza Treporti Committee. Mark the traditional date: Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July. Participating is like experiencing a piece of the tradition of Cavallino-Treporti.
